Library
The library, open through the school week from 8.15am - 5.00pm, is located centrally within the school and has approximately 10,000 books. Books are selected to support the school's learning and teaching programmes.
The library assists with the school's literacy programme and has a comprehensive fiction collection which includes a strong collection of New Zealand young adult fiction.
Non fiction texts are supported by the reference collection, the internet and other databases accessed through a suite of Imac computers that opens off the main library. Besides being able to do research for their assignments students may also write & print them here.
We subscribe to twenty-five different periodicals including both leisure and curriculum support titles.
There is a separate study available for year 13 students.
In an environment that is warm & friendly instruction and support is given to all students so that they may develop their knowledge, discover the joy of serendipity, imagination and time for reflection.
