We hold an Annual Athletics Day at school in Term 1. This is a combination of Competitive and Novelty House Events that the whole school participate in.

Student's who would like to represent Queen's for Athletics enter the Otago Athletics Championships held in March each year. Students can compete in a variety of track and/or field and relay events. Training for this competition is held at lunchtimes in Term 1.
Students that gain a top three placing at the Otago Championships may also enter the South Island Championships at the end of Term 1.

Competitions

The National Secondary School Athletics Championships is held at the end of each school year. This is an open competition with qualifying times, heights and distances.
