The 2026 Sport and Cultural Awards were a fantastic celebration of achievement at Queen’s High School. With over 150 students receiving awards throughout the evening, it was a wonderful showcase of hard mahi paying off. These young wāhine have put in countless hours of training, practice, games and performances to be recognised on stage. Thank you to friends and family who not only attended the awards, but for all of your support along the way to both our students and school.
We were delighted to welcome guest speaker Amber Bridgman, a former Queen’s student and successful Dunedin fashion designer, who delivered an engaging and inspiring address, sharing her experiences and reflections with our students.
The evening also featured a fantastic range of performances showcasing the talent within our school. The QHS Jazz Band, He Waka Kōtuia, Queens of the Pacific, Polyhymnia and the Invision Hip Hop duo all contributed to making the occasion special.
Congratulations to all our award recipients on their achievements throughout the year. We also acknowledge the coaches, teachers, whānau and wider community who support our students and help make these successes possible.
