Sports Code of Conduct Contract 

Sport is an integral aspect of life at Queen’s High School, where it is especially important to exhibit ‘The Queen’s Way’ of Respect for People, Place, and Learning. We show Courage, Integrity, and Excellence in our conduct.

In order to represent Queen’s High School in sporting opportunities, this form must be signed and returned to the Director of Sport before being able to participate in sport. Queen’s High School empowers young women through sport. We encourage students to strive to achieve their personal best and to be a contributing member and work hard within a team. We foster the development of commitment, discipline, positive attitudes, motivation, skill acquisition, and taking responsibility.

As a student representing Queen’s High School in any sport, my responsibilities are to:

• Have a minimum of 85% school attendance at all times.
• Be committed; attend all training sessions and games at the specified time. There is an expectation that appointments will not be made during practice or game time.
• Communicate in a timely manner with the Teacher in Charge, or manager/coach of your team if you are unwell (this includes if you are away from school sick) and not able to attend practice or a game.
• Uphold all school rules in terms of behavior.
• Wear the correct uniform and return it washed at the end of the season. Loss or damage of school sports uniform will incur a cost.
• Show respect and courtesy to the coach, team players, officials, and opponents.
• Be available to do duty as required.
• Commit to playing for the entire season.
• Attend scheduled meetings, respond to emails from the Director of Sports/TiCs in a timely manner, and check the sports draw and updates on Google Classroom.

Failure to adhere to this contract may affect your participation in Queen’s High School sport. Once you have registered to play sport, you are liable for payment of the sport(s) you sign up for by the deadline date.

By signing this contract I acknowledge that I have read the Sports Guide and the Sports Code of Conduct and will follow the rules and expectations required.

Note to Parents/Caregiver

This contract is to ensure that students understand their responsibilities when representing Queen’s High School at sport. Our philosophy is for students to do their best and play fair. Please read this contract with your daughter and ensure she understands what is expected of her.
