“Connect, Grow  and Compete

Because every sportswoman has a place here!”

This year the primary goal for the Sports Prefect and Associates have been to reinstate the Queen’s High School Student Sports Council.  Behind the scenes, the Year 13 Sports Leaders have been busy creating an even better sports culture at Queen’s High School. Sports life at Queen’s looks different for everyone and we want to do our best to support both the holistic and physical side of sports.

Every fortnight, the Student Sports Council gets together to discuss sports at Queen’s High School and what is happening within our community. The key focus of the Sports Council is to ensure that all initiatives are student led by students voices. If you have any questions, suggestions, issues or comments you would like to make known to the Sports Council, please speak with one of your Sports Council year group leaders.

Our Mission

“In the sports council our mission is to inspire and empower all students to participate in and enjoy sports and physical activities. That can be competitively or socially. We will empower teamwork, leadership and school spirit while fostering a culture of inclusivity, well-being as well as personal growth.

Through our student-led council we aim to create opportunities for all skill levels, encourage healthy competition and support the development of lifelong fitness habits to be carried on throughout the school for years to come.”
