Netball is the largest sport we have at Queen’s High School. On average, we have 16 teams playing annually. The Senior A team practices twice a week, with most other teams training once a week. Trials are usually held in Term 1. Senior students can play competitive or social netball, however 10-12 players are required for a social team which is to be organised by the students themselves, along with an adult manager.
Competitions
Netball is played on a Saturday at the Edgar Centre and games are scheduled between 9.00am - 3.00pm. The season commences in May 2025.
Each year our 9A, 10A, and Senior A teams play in the Otago Secondary Schools Tournament. The Senior A team will compete in the South Island Secondary Schools Tournament in Dunedin this year. The 10As will travel to Christchurch to compete in the Year 10 South Island Secondary School Tournament in the first week of the July school holidays.
